All alumni volunteers serving on committees and advisory groups are expected to dedicate up to 3 hours per month for regular business and meetings and up to 6 hours per month prior to significant events or programs. Alumni volunteers play crucial roles as ambassadors, advisors, and supporters of our Alumni Association.
Standing Committees
Executive Committee: This committee consists of all elected officers of the Association and convenes to deliberate on matters pertinent to the organization. The President has the authority to invite chairpersons of both standing and ad hoc committees to participate in Executive Committee meetings or functions.
Responsibilities include:
• Developing an annual operating plan and budget, subject to approval by the General Assembly.
• Appointing and assigning responsibilities to standing and ad hoc committees unless otherwise stipulated in the constitution or bylaws.
• Addressing alumni issues and providing recommendations to the Board of Directors and General Assembly to align with the Association's objectives and ensure its effective operation.
Planning Committee: Responsible for organizing all events and functions of the Association, including the Annual Meeting.
Fundraising Committee: Tasked with devising and implementing strategies to secure funding for the Association's initiatives and projects.
Health/Welfare Committee: Dedicated to addressing health and welfare matters concerning Association members.
Publicity Committee:This committee manages outreach, publication, and communication efforts related to the Association, including non-financial accounts. The Association secretary serves as an ex-officio member of this committee.
Elections Committee: Oversees all elections conducted within the Association.
Audit Committee: Responsible for conducting periodic audits of the Association's accounts as required by the Board of Directors or General Assembly. Collaborates with the Board to ensure comprehensive inventories of goods, materials, and services align with the Association's constitutional and bylaw obligations.
